Questions about new tanks

What does a new tank cost?

Nano setups start from R4,500, with plants and fish. Bigger, CO2 and custom tanks are quoted after a free visit, because size, glass and cabinet all change the price.

How long does a custom build take?

Most builds take four to six weeks from the deposit. The glass and cabinet are made to order. Install day itself is one day on site.

Can my floor take a big tank?

Water weighs a kilogram a litre, so a 300-litre tank weighs well over 300 kg once it's full. We check the floor and the cabinet on the site visit.

Who owns the tank?

You do. A 50% deposit starts the build and the rest is due on install day.

How long does the install take?

One day on site for the stone, wood, plants and equipment. Fish go in over the next three to four weeks as the water settles.
